I see on facebook that Harry's Cafe in Douglas is closed ,that used to be our first call for breakfast just off the ferry .
Other than The Cafe which is always out the door is there any other Cafe's that are early opening for a fry up in the area .
We always had fish n chips at the Terrace Chippy but this year we are staying in Peel ,are there any recommendations for a good chippy in Peel .
Already had jumbo cod in the Marine and several other dishes
Cheers
We used this too - I think it's called Castle Takeaway - it can get pretty busy at times though.
There is also Peel Fisheries on the corner of Church Street and Christian Street but we never tried it (always closed when we got back after evening practices). I can recommend the pizza place just a little further down Christian Street though.

Although its a takeaway, Newsbeat 60 Bucks rd Douglass opens at 7am and does cracking hot and cold sarnies, drinks etc. great if you are off marshalling/spectating
Problem with chippies on the isalnd is that they all use that weird healthy cooking oil, I'm a beef dripping man - Best one in peel is on the quayside but is painfully slow. the chinese and indian up in town near the Royal were both excellent when i last used them. For me the best chippy on the island is in parliament square Ramsey even though they are the most miserable staff. Shoprite in Ramsey do mega beacon butties on a morning, unless the staff have changed, buy one bacon bap and some empty buns off the bread rack - our record was 12 rashers and we made 5 sarnies out of it.

I can recommend the railway station cafe in Douglas. Not sure what time it opens tho. But great food morning through to about 8pm.
They also do a full breakfast on a fire man shovel
Thanks for the replies guys,
The ferry docks at 6am so will have to probably wait for a fry up until a few places open ,so Mc.D's for a muffin and coffee i recon .
Talking of Walpole Ave, I've just looked on Google and there's a curry house on the corner. Didn't that used to be a Pizza Hut or am I cracking up - opposite Bushys.

It was a curry place when the google cars were here taking the pictures. It is now Pizza Hut
Well I've been coming for 20 years and how I missed a curry house I cannot fathom. Wonder if my memory and eyesight have been hampered by alcohol. I'm not driving this year so I'll be drinking more. I'll see if that does make a difference.
