An invasion from the Czech Republic is expected in late May in the South of the Isle of Man.

However, it will be a ‘friendly’ one as six competitors arrive in Castletown to compete in the Blackford Financial Services Pre - TT Classic Road Races which take place on the 27th, 28th & 30th May.

Vladimir Kotland, Milan Sramek, Jirt Tenk, Zdenek Hrncal, Robert Novak and Michal Jerabek are all making their debut on the 4.25-mile Billown course.

Milan Sramek will race a brace of 250cc and 350cc Walter CZ machines with Jirt Tenk and Zdenek Hrncal riding 250cc and 175cc versions of the CZ single.

Robert Novak will compete in the Senior race on a 500 ESO Rickman whilst Vladimir Kotland and Michal Jerabek are entered on Yamaha and Honda machines in the Superbike class.

Switzerland will also be represented at the popular Classic Races with newcomers Peter Sommer and Walo Bertsching riding a pair of 498cc Paton machines in the Senior race.

Tilmann Runck and Werner Molders will ride in the Senior and Junior races, along with Ralf Engelhardt and passenger Winfried Viecenz in the Sidecar class all representing Germany.

Bernard Collonge and Roland Martiny will also compete in the Sidecar class flying the French flag.

Race Secretary, George Peach expressing his delight with this continental invasion, said:

“It is encouraging to see so much interest from Europe and brings a truly international flavour to the Blackford’s Pre TT Classic Road Races and we look forward to welcoming them to Billown at the end of May.”
