TT Visitors with Manx Pronto pay as you go mobile phone SIM cards

If so, here is some important information for you: Manx Telecom has recently changed its policy regarding `topping up` your mobile phone with call credit. Where previously a £20 call voucher would last for one year, now your phone credit has no expiry date – you simply need to make one voice call or send one text every six months to keep your mobile in active service.

Many TT visitors who bought call vouchers last year and have not made a call since leaving the Island would, under our new top-up policy, be due to have their mobiles removed from active service on our network on or around June 13. To keep your Manx pay as you go mobile SIM active, all you need to do is make one voice call or send one text before that date.

And, because our pay as you go customers can now also use their mobiles anywhere in the UK where there is coverage by the O2 network, you don`t even need to come back to the Isle of Man to make that call.

If you require any further information about using your mobile phone on the Isle of Man, there are booklets available at Isle of Man Airport information desk, at the Sea Terminal and from the Isle of Man Tourist Board. You can also contact Manx Telecom on Freephone 0808 1624 171.
