The Isle of Man TT isn't just about road racing you know? As well as being the scene of the greatest road races in the world, the Isle of Man TT festival is the biggest and best motorcycle party on the planet and this years promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Following five evenings of spectacular action on the TT Circuit, the festival really bursts into life with a vengeance on Thursday night with Monsters of Rock headliner Alice Cooper playing live at the Villa Marina.

Saturday gets underway with the new BSB style paddock walk-a-bout, where all the leading TT competitors will be in situ for an hour to sign posters and autograph cards for you the fans, prior to the opening race of the week.

More top class entertainment is assured later that day at the all new TT Chat Show, this year featuring for the first time, the 'TT Rider's Olympic Games'. Hosted by Manx Radio TT’s Chris Kinley and local TT legend Richard 'Milky' Quayle this event has become one of the highlights of the festival and is your chance to see the heroes of the race track up close and personal, making fools of themselves in aid of the Joey Dunlop Foundation. After the Chat Show the party continues in the Villa Marina with a late bar and Disco with the Minister for Fun David Cretney and don't forget to check out the firework display over Douglas Bay which also takes place that night.

You will be spoilt for choice the following day – Mad Sunday. Once you’ve racked up the laps, you can travel to Peel in the west of the Island for Honda Day, where the Japanese giant’s will be entertaining the public throughout the day. Later that evening the Streetfighters Challenge takes place on Ramsey Promenade, whilst at Onchan Stadium, the Purple Helmets will be putting in one of their sell out shows.

The official Prize Presentations take place at the Villa Marina on both Monday and Wednesday evening, whilst the Tall Ship 'Artemis' will be visiting Douglas Bay from Monday through to Thursday.

A week after Alice Cooper rocks the Island, another living rock legend will play for TT fans. You can take a walk on the wild side with Lou Reed, who plays two nights at the Villa Marina on Thursday and Friday of Race Week.

In addition to all this, the Duke will host the promenade entertainment each night from Friday the 2nd of June onwards will all the usual highlights promised, plus a few new ones, whilst there are a multitude of bike rallies, music gigs and sprints for you to occupy your time with.

The fortnight will go out with a bang, concluding with the Classic Nostalgia Weekend which takes place from the 8th to the 11th of June. It begins straight after the Senior TT Race with the TT Lap of Honour featuring former TT stars including Giacamo Agostini, Jim Redman, Tony and Michael Rutter, Charlie Williams, Mick Grant, Bill Smith, Tommy Robb, Jamie Whitham, John Kidson, Richard Quayle and Con Law. Also taking part will be Sidecar legend Dave Molyneux on his replica George O’Dell 1978 TT and World Championship winning outfit. Joining Dave for the lap will be none other than O'Dell’s original passenger Kenny Arthur. The action moves south one day later for the Steam Packet National Races around the Billown Circuit, featuring several stars of the TT, with further classic TT rider demonstration laps.

Bringing the curtain down on the festival will be the annual Red Arrows display. The Royal Air Force’s crack flying team will thrill the crowds around Douglas at 4:15pm on Saturday the 10th of June. Due to operational reasons, this will be the only display from the Red Arrows during this years TT festival.

"Whilst we have worked hard to improve our on track racing activities over the past year with tremendous success, we have worked equally hard on ensuring that the festival side of the TT continues to grow and prosper. This year the line up of events is the best ever in my opinion headed by the two world class music acts we have been able to secure to play at the Villa Marina."

"Every interest is catered for, for the visiting race fans and local residents alike, and there is literally something for everyone. After two weeks of racing and festivities, the meeting will be brought to a close by the Classic Nostalgia Weekend which has attracted an excellent entry including many legendary TT competitors from the past headed by the great Giacamo Agostini."

"We are excited about ending the fortnight with the ever popular Red Arrows. Sadly this will be their only performance this TT period, due to commitments in connection with the Queen’s 80th birthday and addition al commitments in the Middle East. I realise the residents of Peel and Ramsey will be disappointed there will be no displays in their areas, but I am sure they will understand that this was out of our control, and will join the crowds in Douglas for the display."
