Ardent Joey fan Rosie Pollington is planning to race on the roads of North England. The 38 year old biking fanatic takes to the starting line of the Great North Run which takes place in Newcastle upon Tyne on the 1st October 2006

Rosie from Sussex hopes to attract the nations attention as she will be running with the famous yellow helmet on her head, this is the first time that Rosie has tackled a half marathon and has received some strange comments as she trains around her home town with a yellow helmet on her head.

Helping Rosie with this race is Joeys friend and sponsor John Harris who said that both he and Linda Dunlop urge Joey fans to get behind the Joey Dunlop Foundation and help raise funds or make a donation no matter what size, thus ensuring that a lasting memorial is in place for Yer maun by TT 2007.

Kevin Quirk of the Joey Dunlop Foundation said that if every Joey Dunlop fan made a contribution to the Foundation then we would be able to have a facility that offers the very best of facilities for people with disabilities.

Kevin added that during the last few weeks he has received many enquiries from special need schools and other Charities regarding Joeys Holiday Home and was confident that demand will be considerable thus allowing any one with special needs to visit the isle of Man.

If you would like to make a donation to the Joey Dunlop Foundation then please visit www.joeydunlopfoundation .com or write to JDF, 12 First Avenue,Douglas, isle of Man IM26BA
