Night Two for Deacon Blue at Peel Bay Festival |
Author: Street Heritage Events Ltd Posted on: Tuesday, Feb 27 2007
Deacon Blue is acknowledged to be one of the best live acts in the UK and broke the world record for the fastest concert sell out in 1989. They were one of the top-selling UK bands in the late 1980s/early 1990s and in 1994 their album reached number one shortly before the band split. They reformed in 1999, but only to play at events that interested them, until 2004 when Graeme Kelling died from cancer. It was at this time that the band played in the Isle of Man for the first time and was a complete sell out.
