Tallin Road Races
2001
|
|
The Estonia race track of Tallin will always be remembered as the
place Joey Dunlop tradgically lost his life to the sport he so dearly
loved.
He was one of many UK based riders who reguarly made the trip to
Estonia to test their skills at this remote location.

In 2001 the event continues including a race named
after Joey Dunlop, who, as everywhere, was the most popular rider on the track.
The event takes place on the 30th of June and will consist of five race
programme.
Many British riders are expected to attend including Michael
Sutton, Paul Hunt, Chris Dowling, Mark Parrett, John Caffery amongst others who
have expressed an intrest.
The organising club have also had several
enquiries made by spectators from the British Isles, who will obvioulsy want to
visit the track to pay their respects to the great man, in a similar fashion to
what Joey himself did, when his hero, Aryton Senna lost his life.
David
Griffiths from the Ilse of man is one of the people who has arranged to go out
their and will be writing a report of his experinces for TT Website.com on his
return.
