International Sunflower Races Moved Back
|
The International Sunflower Races originally scheduled for 6th October, have
been moved back 2 weeks to October 20th.
The Hillsborough and District Motor Cycle Club, who organise the biggest
Short Circuit Meeting in Ulster changed the date in order to attract riders
from the British Championship.
The final round of the 2001 Supercup Series takes place on October 14th at
Donington Park, leaving the way clear for all riders wishing to take part in
the Sunflower International free to travel to the Ards peninsular circuit.
The club are hopeful of having former victor, Steve Hislop over for the
meeting as well as last years winner Michael Rutter on his works Kawasaki,
David Jefferies and Matt Llwelyan on the V&M machines plus Ian Duffus,
Stuart Easton, Callum Ramsay, Steve Patrickson and Ian Lougher.
Michael Swann, Rodney McCurdy and Adrian Archibald will head the local entry
in a meeting not to be missed.
