  F&M
Posted by: Anonymous - 24-04-2001, 06:28 PM - Forum: Manx Grand Prix & Former Classic TT - Replies (4)

The new rock group F&M are not welcome on the Isle of Man, and rightly so. However the Manx Govt are putting out messages encouraging all F&M's groupies to attend the TT festival, with club meetings, Red Arrows etc.
They are inviting all except the band itself.
If this decision has been made in an attempt to curb F&M then they should really be restricting all visitors?

In my capacity as a veterinary consultant to the Chinese Space Agency we once investigated F&M on Mars, so I really haven't a clue.

Let's hope the Manx goes ahead or they let us know now and I can put a cover over the bike for the rest of the year!

Bye for now

it's sooner rather than later, only time will tell.
Let's see some of you Manx riders on board!!
I received my official ride on Friday, roll on

  The All-New Ultra Lightweight Cargo
Posted by: Anonymous - 23-04-2001, 09:59 PM - Forum: Manx Grand Prix & Former Classic TT - Replies (4)

Cargo,

Good to hear you've got a start in the U L'Weight, I presume on a 400 (Kawa?) not a 125!
Have you got the Junior entry too I presume?

Since the ULW goes with the LW I'll tell you where a number of unscrupulois riders are alleged to stash some spare juice around the circuit (just in case).

Will we see you at Scarborough, we're heading up for the full weekend.

See ya soon

  MGP Badges
Posted by: Anonymous - 18-04-2001, 10:24 AM - Forum: Manx Grand Prix & Former Classic TT - No Replies

Does anyone have any spare MGP badges or would like to swap them for any other bike badges, like
NW200, TT, UGP badges.
I am looking for particular dates from the 70's and 80's.
Does anyone now when the MGP badges started.

  Happy Easter
Posted by: Anonymous - 15-04-2001, 11:07 PM - Forum: Joey Dunlop - No Replies

On this sunny Easter day, my thoughts turn to Joey for a moment. I realize that his brief presence in this world was a blessing to the many he inspired. If the world could learn anything from his life, it would be:
Never stop trying
Be humble in your victories, but stay fierce at heart, in order to reach your goals.
There will be good & bad in many things that come one's way.Know how to maximize on the good, that will help minimize the bad.

Live your days knowing you will not be here forever. Live your nights knowing that you've been granted one more day to live.
Acts of kindness are the basis of a fulfilled life.
Never take anything for granted.
True Heroes never think they are...

Godspeed Joey

  Posthumous Knighthood
Posted by: Anonymous - 05-04-2001, 03:32 PM - Forum: Joey Dunlop - No Replies

My name is Ann Anderson. I am a dedicated Joey fan, I am have followed Joey for many years. I have watched from afar as Joey struggled to become Northern Ireland's greatest sporting hero. Not only for his many sporting victories but also for the tourism he brought to NI, not to mention his renound work that he has done for so many charties throught the world, which he never sought any self praise. I belive that Joey deserves a Posthumous Knighthood, as I am sure that many others do. Myself and my friend Jade Gribben, have started a campain to try to acheive this. We have already received a reply from Buckkingham Palace and 10 Downing street. We need your help!in order for this to be achieved. Under the instructions of 10 Dowing Street, on our petition each entry must be accompanied by the persons real name and a verifiable address. If you are willing to help, please forward the relative details to Joey's Knighthood
