Taking the 'pee' out of riders - FC - 04-06-2006 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It may be that Gary Carswell will pull out of tomorows superstock race on safety issues. Garry is the 5th quickest in practice for this race but his start no is 18, he has asked to be moved up to a vacant number but this has been turned down. Guy Martin has been moved up from 11 to no 1 no problem with this but it does make it hard for other to catch him. We have heard that slower rider have been moved up to no, s 11 and 12 ahead of Carswell, this is taking the ****, Privateers dont get the same treatment as the team riders, its my opinion that presure has been put to get the team riders moved up for the TV. But what gets me is when the rider complains to the COC over the start No,s he is told, word for word in this case Gary it would be wise to keep your mouth shut and dont go Public. Sorry Mr Hanson I will safety comes first in my book Buy wait - Shaun Harris - 04-06-2006 FC, why do you sound so shocked - TT TECH - 05-06-2006 - Anonymous - 05-06-2006 Colin sorry to butt in but for the benefit of the public who exactly makes these decisions? I'm not - Shaun Harris - 05-06-2006 pykey Wrote:Colin sorry to butt in but for the benefit of the public who exactly makes these decisions? The Clerk of the Course, sorry to but in myself - cargo - 05-06-2006 I can think of another recently perpatrated 'pee' take in fact a replica situation  - Anonymous - 05-06-2006 I loved the interview Garry gave just before the race WELL DONE GARY ON 8TH. keep her lit. - GarryD - 05-06-2006 I thought he same pykey only speaking then truth then backed it up with a great result. Must be something to do with the name, we take no xxxx from anyone. Well done Gary and best of luck for other races. - larryd - 05-06-2006 It all confirms, does it not, that Mr Hanson's sole thought is for the safety of all concerned, public, officials and, especially, the riders. That being the case, why do I find it difficult to decide whether to laugh or to cry :?: :?: :?: Christ, there's another two race days to go . . . . . . . . . . . How can he top that :?:  - ade! - 05-06-2006 you know, i've been a member of all these forums for so long that i thought "'pee'" was actually spelt "p*ss" ade! Hansen taking the p#ss - Shaun Harris - 05-06-2006 [quote="larryd"]It all confirms, does it not, that Mr Hanson's sole thought is for the safety of all concerned, public, officials and, especially, the riders. Er,excuse me!!!! :? - Tom Loughridge - 06-06-2006 Who is the officially appointed riders representative this year? He usually is listed amoungst the officials in the TT programme. - FC - 06-06-2006 It says Paul Phillips and Milk Quaye are the Rider Liason officers, but they have no say in what Hanson does, he should step down. Yesterday there were 22 non starters, Ian Smith whos bike passed the scrutineers was stoped on the start line from competing because his superbike had the facility of a quick shifter but is was disconecetd. Victor Gilmore was excluded from riding as he had not give Mr Hanson 24hrs notice of change of machine to one he qualified in practice. - The Bag - 06-06-2006 TT Tech, the decisions made by some are ' a little odd ' to say the least, as you say finishing 4th to a 600 in the 400 race then getting number 45 its almost as crazy as Shaun winning a TT then not being allowed to race this year   I suppose if Gary went public himself and actually spoke out he would also find himself with either a start number of 101 next year or a refused entry :?: Its just such a shame that the TT, the event with the potential to be the greatest specacle and most enjoyable event for all riders and spectators is being made into a frustrating event for more and more epeople each year by the lack of a simple understanding of the sport. Russ Henleyps I wonder if they'd let me ride now if the 250's came back LOL   - Steve Mc - 07-06-2006 Couldn't help but nod to myself when Gary said during the interview that 'they don't want privateers here' Since the demise of the production classes and 400's etc it is very hard to get a 'foot in the door' now. Or at least it seems that way. Good man - Shaun Harris - 07-06-2006 Sounds like another ginger has had his say, Well done that man 8) - GarryD - 07-06-2006 Russ be good to see you in action on the mountain course again and showing the scone ranger a clean pair of heels. Can you share your thoughts on the trips to the ivory tower to see his lordship wooopps - Shaun Harris - 07-06-2006 cargo Wrote:I can think of another recently perpatrated 'pee' take in fact a replica situation  Sorry mate, I have been doing a bit of dweeenking lately and forgot! Sent it 2 days ago, should be at yours within 10 days - The Bag - 08-06-2006 Garry NO :!: |
