RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - Splashdown - 17-01-2015 Spanners, I don't think anyone ever has. Nearest to that would be Mike Hailwood. Senior TT.1961: Norton Senior TT.1963 MV Senior TT.1966 Honda RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - c iom tt - 19-01-2015 I wonder how much it has cost them for start money for him? Mike this question has never been asked about what JM has been paid over the years but reading various cuttings it seems that he is now DEDs number one blue eyed boy and you cant blame them he is the best road racer we have ever seen, I tried to tell you lot four years ago, if JM wants a good payday this year he will have to ride hard as there are a few capable of coming second to Dunlop. RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - warrior - 19-01-2015 Interesting article in BSN, i've only skimmed it quickly but Stuart Hicken is basically saying how well he and the team got on with Michael, and that it was the BMW marketing boss who was the problem, Stuart claims this guy promised Michael the world for what he had done for them, but then delivered nothing and caused a fall out between Michael & BMW. Bill why is JM the best road racer we have ever seen? with respect he is one of the best TT riders we have seen but he does not shine particularly well in ireland and i am not sure that he has done the southern. In my view Guy is a better road racer all day long than JM because he does the irish roads and the southern and can win on most of them. in my view the best road racer we have ever seen was Joey and it looks like the title in the future could stay in the Dunlop family. Regarding money whatever they get its not enough. RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - eman1948 - 19-01-2015 Then BMW needs to sack their marking boss because he`s p---, their loss Yamahas gain. RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - bambam - 19-01-2015 sorry i read that wrong RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - ian charlton - 19-01-2015 eman,i think spanners was refering to Mickey as the best,in his mind anyway, and he may well be right, only Mike the Bike was better than the lot!!,in my mind. And the shorts as well, but Rossi would push for that honour, maybe,or not.I,ll go for not! There,s only one real king. And its not entirely true about GM not getting start money, he does but he does not get appearance money I belive for being told to sign signatures and you cant blame him, yes GM is the most popular favourite rider with the fans. RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - eman1948 - 20-01-2015 Don`t think you are quite right on that one, I`m sure Splashdown will enlighten us if he sees this. As a matter of query, why the user name Splashdown? RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - Splashdown - 20-01-2015 I thought I'd answered this one earlier, with my remark that Hailwood won the Senior in 1961 63 and 66 on different makes. Obviously everyone knows that he also won the Senior in 64 65 67 and 1978, plus a total of 14 wins. Quite simply the best rider ever around the TT course. Splashdown's name comes from launching a factory RC30 through a hedge in practice for the 1988 Ulster Grand Prix, and landing 15 feet below in a very wet bog. The bike's imitation of a Barnes Wallis bouncing bomb looked expensive.........for Honda! RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - eman1948 - 20-01-2015 I thought it may have had something to do with your private Jet and water, so not to far out. I'd just like to make the point that I didn't need to be told 4 years ago (or even 6 years ago - when he'd already won his first TT) that Michael was destined for a stellar TT career. But thanks anyway. ;-) (I've always had a soft spot for Yams so I'm really looking forward to TT2015) RE: Michael Dunlop to ride Milwaukee Yamaha Superbike at TT 2015 - spannerman - 21-01-2015 (21-01-2015, 05:57 PM)Dougboy Wrote:(20-01-2015, 01:58 AM)spannerman Wrote: ...........I tried to tell you lot four years ago,........
