Just said 134 GH to GH for MD.   Eeek!

Note that Hutchy and MD are now doing slightly slower sectors.

If the fuel holds out, the flying lap at the end may very well be 134.

I just want it recorded for posterity that he just said "that's a mouth full of Johnson for anyone".

One for the American listeners for sure Icon_lol Icon_lol Icon_lol

for sure 134 is on if they want to push that hard
clear roads off coarse traffic might stop them pushing too hard

Hillier must have had a problem or a major wobble, he dropped from 4th way back.

RE: TT 2016 Fastest Lap - Big bikes - Sam Pato - 04-06-2016

Lost over 1m on the sector from Ramsey to the Bungalow on the 3rd lap but he seems to be back on it now.

For GH to Ballaugh MD was in the 3.03's for Lap one.  Now on a 3.09's.

I'm thinking it'll be steady s she goes now he's caught Hutchy on the road.

RE: TT 2016 Fastest Lap - Big bikes - KypDurron - 04-06-2016

He doesn't seem to want to pass. Perhaps he doesn't want Hutchy to tuck in behind him and get a feel for the new speeds.

RE: TT 2016 Fastest Lap - Big bikes - Sam Pato - 04-06-2016

Thats a 130+mph 'steady as she goes' btw Icon_biggrin

RE: TT 2016 Fastest Lap - Big bikes - KypDurron - 04-06-2016

Hutchy's lads need to firm up their pitstops, he gave up quite a few seconds there which would be critical in a close race.

RE: TT 2016 Fastest Lap - Big bikes - Sam Pato - 04-06-2016

Hickman over 131 with a pit stop..... food for thought.

RE: TT 2016 Fastest Lap - Big bikes - Sam Pato - 04-06-2016

Big question now - will Michael have a dig for the flying lap?

I think he'll hold station but they don't call him Maverick for nothing.

Me too, plenty of racing days to go yet, another question is - will the Stockers go quicker again next week ?

RE: TT 2016 Fastest Lap - Big bikes - Sam Pato - 04-06-2016

Hicky is running the same pace as MD and Hutchy..... take note.

Puts me in mind of a quote a read from (I think) William Boroughs about Tangiers.

"In Tangiers everything is possible and everything that is not possible is possible too!"

Who knows!

Can't wait Icon_lol

Me neither, The speeds are superb and i'm sure there's more to come, I finally get to leave the seemingly permanent grey skies of the south and get back home early Monday morning for some proper racing and sunshine. Just been thinking about my late very good friend Ian Young and how hard he was riding to get a private RC30 around in 19 minutes back in the day and now the top guys are 2 minutes quicker .. a proper commitment to the sport / cause.

My first TT was in 93 and I went all through the 90's and we waited till '99 for a hard charging Jim Moodie to beat Foggys '92 lap record (on a what i was reliably informed was a qualifying tyre that had no chance of doing 2 laps).  These days the lap record goes every year and the competition these days is far and away above anything I ever saw.  Hard to comprehend at times.

I haven't checked it but the race radio said that Michael beat the race record by over 1 minute!
