- thewitch - 29-03-2006 Well, I am a dementia worker, so perhaps I might have to support him when he comes across... - John Foster - 29-03-2006 And very shirty! - Don Simons - 29-03-2006 Oh! I forgot it is "Get Don Thursday" I was obviously barking up the wrong tree with my course directions. It is very confusing in the northern hemisphere even the bath water spins in a different direction. - charlie hulse - 30-03-2006 Theres no hope of you getting a TT licence then Don :? can't tell left from right  - Chris Maybury - 30-03-2006 Hilary M Wrote:He is 64 you know! Bluddy 'ell. Just realised that so will I be 64 in July. Maybe I shoud pack away my trusty nautical sextant and buy one of those new fangled GPS/Sat Nav thingies. I don't want to end up like Don. Thought for the day......Does shower water behave the same way as bath water down under? - MV - 30-03-2006 Looks like a good vintage!! I TOO am 64 in August... MV - Hilary M - 30-03-2006 OMG,I didn't realise there were so many geriatrics around here.My John will be 64 in January.I am,well, not 64 yet,the same age as the witch actually.Must have been a good vintage for outspoken bikers. - David Griffiths - 30-03-2006 Going back to the subject of Windy Corner, it was reported on Manx Radio this morning that the works are more than three weeks ahead of schedule and the road could be open again as early as next week. The camber on the new piece of road (which is wholly inside the original corner) has been changed to a 'positive camber' as opposed to the 'adverse camber' on the original corner, and the gravel trap has been removed. From a racing point of view, I imagine these works will make the corner into very much a 'short circuit scratch' style corner . As a TT traditionalist I'm quite sad that the original corner is no more, but will probably be sufficiently interested in the new corner to head up there for the first practice session if the weather's half-decent! The story, with photos, is on http://www.manxradio.com - go to the news section. - thewitch - 30-03-2006 Oh, goodie...can I come with you?! |
