Senior Manx Grand Prix Winner Heads For ‘Miniature TT’ - Malcolm - 04-04-2011 Ian Watson Spring Cup Road Races Sunday 17th April 2011 2010 Senior Manx Grand Prix winner Simon Fulton is set to travel to North Yorkshire for the opening road race of the 2011 season, the Ian Watson Spring Cup at Oliver’s Mount on Sunday 17th April. Si Fulton isn’t the only Manxman to be making the round trip to the popular seaside closed public roads circuit for what is also the opening round of the Duke Road Race Rankings Championship 2011, which is celebrating its 10th year this season. Other ‘Manxie's are Chris Palmer, who has some 81 race victories to his credit since his first win, twenty-years-ago at the Spring National in 1991! Si Fulton on his way to his 2010 MGP win Andy Cowin and Paul Smyth along with two Peter’s, Hindley and Simpson complete the six adventurers heading to compete at what still is widely known as the ‘Miniature TT’ because of its hillside venue with steep climbs and descents and hairpin bends. Fulton has a brace of Yamahas at his disposal for the Supersport and Superbike classes. Others entered for the Supersport classes are Andy Cowin, Paul Smyth and Peter Simpson who also has a 400 Kawasaki with him. |
