Nope have to agree, facebook etc is ok for general chit chat between friends or making a particular subject (fuel protests etc) get a wider audiance, but I think boards like this still have a place for specific chat/info for enthusiasts Smile

I have been trying Facebook....It is a good way to keep in contact with certain friends but a forum is read by a wider "audience" and topics vary a lot.

So after a short time on Facebook I still find this Forum to be more my style.

We should be building up to the TT now with a pile of info and observations.

Let's do it !

Twitter is great for the news flashes. Practice gossip etc. little snippets like "I just saw..."

Facebooks for getting in touch with people, snooping at other peoples conversations and photo's. Threads are hard to track as they move from the page quickly. Some people find it particularly useful when letting "friends" know when they have ate or gone to the toilet.

The message board is good for the main reason that every subject has a title. If your not interested in the title you don't have to read on. I think most people take a little more time to respond on a message board. I find that i'ts easy to pop in and out of a message board quickly and not feel that I need to post anything compared to the above.

This place does seem to be a little quite mind you for this time of year (and century!)
