Brave.......having or displaying courage, resolution, or daring. I suggest anyone who competes on the Mountain Course displays these characteristics. Bravery is not heightened or lessened by liking or disliking what one does.
For someone to lap the TT Course at over 126mph, as Ian Lougher has done, displays courage, resolution and daring.

Bravery is not hitting a tennis ball over a net or playing snooker as some commentators would make one think.

Yes, bravery is about making a conscious decision to do soemthing high risk, but in a skillful rather than foolhardy way.
As someone who works with disabled paople, I know how p****d off they get being called "courageous" in a patronising way, for just coping with life.
However, Ian, and even more so, Scott Richardson show true courage.
Scott, not because he is now "disabled", but because he refuses to allow that to disable him, or stop him living life to the full. We are surrounded by real heroes in our sport.
