Indeed, but what happened to the 'no racing in the rain' rule that came not so long ago or was that just for the TT OR more likely the chance of having no racing at all meant it has been conveniently overlooked.

No big "important" teams at the Manx to lean on Clerks of the Course called Hanson and whatever his TT successors are called.

Fatboy Parker?

Medallion Man Nelson??

Oo's next - I can't recall!!

Remind me, Beepee - did not we ride in the wet in the 70s??

Many riders pulled out of this race before completing a lap, they can use full wet tyres at the MGP bu can at the TT , but at the TT they don't race in the rain.

So who have the biggest test tickles the Big money grabbers at the TT or the robed riders at the MGP.

Ha ha Larry yes indeed,in fact one of the very few races I won was in the rain but it wasn't here. What I didn't realise at the time was the fact I was not immortal.Icon_lol

Let me tell you, I ride at the TT and I want to ride in the rain because it slows down the fast bikes but I am not allowed to.

Not everyone at the TT is a "Big money grabber" and if you would like to discuss it I'll be happy to meet you at next years TT.CensoredCensored

No Problem. Many do come to the TT for the $$$$$$$$$ and a lot of others get sod all because of it. But lets get back on track, safety comes first and as said by many of the riders on Monday the track was unsafe, it was also said at the Villa last night by a couple of top TT riders.

Grumble grumble grumble...but no action...

You now need two riders representatives, plus travelling marshals who can give an opinion and action it, and a COC who must put safety and preservation of life on top of his lists...

Come on Ian - you don't believe that the lot who "run" the TT nowadays would take any advice/suggestions from outside their own selfish, self-interested little circle, surely??

Certainly not from "whingeing" marshals and other voluntary officials, and even more certainly not from those who report infractions of the on-track rules??

My mind keeps returning to a remark I heard at the TT last June, that the TV company's are looking at the TT for live broadcasts. A delayed start to a TT race is no good for live TV. I read somewhere this week that you do not now get a second chance at the start of athletic races because it is bad for live TV, a waste of time !, the same article eluded to second services at tennis matches being outlawed for the same reason. It appears that if an event is being shown live than the event has to start on time, and there has to be no delay. In starting a TT or Manx GP race on time, even in controversial wet conditions. Are the organizers trying some how to show the TV company's that "we can start on time".

Well, if it is not resolved soon, we could lose the TT and the Manx...

What would I do in June and August then !!!

TT 2011 was nothing like TT 1991 nor was it like TT 1981.

Is it moving with the times, other than into the realm of finance- first like the mess football is in ??
