1950 TT History - Anonymous - 24-11-2002 I have found among some old photos a picture from the 1950 TT signed by the rider (No. 45). The signature looks like Charlie Gray. Just out of interest, does anybody know anything about this rider? Re: 1950 TT History - Anonymous - 24-11-2002 You can look up a C Gray in the data base on www.iomtt.com He rode in junior and senior TTs from 1949 to 1953 Re: 1950 TT History - Anonymous - 24-11-2002 Thank you. Re: 1950 TT History - Anonymous - 24-11-2002 Bill at Amulree and Ian Huntly will probably have more info. Keep checking. Re: 1950 TT History - Anonymous - 25-11-2002 Charlie Gray was a very good Ulster rider of the late 40' and early 50's, almost always on an AJS 7R. He was also a professional photographer, who was taking colour slides in the early 50's of the works bikes that came to the UGP and North West. He had one works ride, I think, for AJS in the Junior TT. Re: 1950 TT History - Anonymous - 25-11-2002 I cannot add to the previous information which agrees with my listing.. Ask us another !!! |
