Marshals to stage a Strike at TT - FCM - 08-05-2012 In the House of Keys this Morning, it has been reveled that marshals are to stage a strike on senior race day at this years TT in support of the MMCC proposals to keep the modern and newcomers races at the MGP. It was also said that DEDs proposals could lead to a situation that no racing takes part at the MGP if Marshals and other take action not to support the event. It comes after it was suggested that some marshals could take action for an hour on Senior Race Day. The idea was from some of those unhappy with the proposed changes to the Manx Grand Prix and was discussed on internet forums. Chairman of the TTMA Terry Holmes doesn't support strike action and says it would only affect the riders. He told Energy FM News that actions and words like this would do the MGP and the TT more harm than good. |
