David Bogie in 1950 Senior MGP - Anonymous - 16-12-2002 The "Reply" function seems not to be working, so I'm trying this. David was not disqualified from the Senior, and in any case would not have suffered from using a 350. Not only did the Club accept his Senior entry on the Junior Velo, there were 35 others in the Senior programme on 350s!! No - after finishing 4th in the Junior, he was well on for a Replica in the Senior until, on the last lap,he fell off at Cruikshanks and broke a leg. Sorry for delay - took a bit of time finding this, but after Helen's vote of confidence, I had to have a go!! Re: David Bogie in 1950 Senior MGP - Anonymous - 16-12-2002 Well placed confidence, Larry! Jake is writing a book on the history of the Kirkcaldy and District Motor Club, who formerly ran races at Beveridge Park, and currently at Knockhill...they also have a cracking annual dance! If Larry, or anyone else has stories or information about KDMC events or members, I am sure Jake would love to hear from you. |
