Lee Johnston Confirmed to Continue with Millsport Racing Ducati in 2013 - Malcolm - 09-10-2012 Millsport Racing Ducati is pleased to confirm the re-signing of Lee Johnston for the 2013 season. Lee will compete in the British Superstock Championship and the three international road races on the team’s Ducati 1199 Panigale. In addition to this he will have the use of a new Supersport bike for the road races supplied by Phil Reed (East Coast Construction). 2012 was the start of a new project for the Ballymoney based team competing with the new 1199 Panigale and the package has proved to be competitive with a 2nd at both the NW200 and at Donington Park in the British Superstock Championship. Next year the team will have further assistance from both the factory and Ducati UK as they look to improve on this year’s results. Team Manager, Patrick Murray commented: “We are delighted to have Lee with us for the 2013 season as he has proved he can be at the front in the road races as well as the competitive British Superstock championship. We have made massive steps with the new bikes this season and with new parts and the data we have got through this year will mean we hope to be competitive from the start of the season.” Lee Johnston commented: “It’s great to have next years deal done as the team and I have proved to be a package that can push for the top step. This year has been a learning year for us with the new bikes but we are going in the right direction and with a testing programme through the winter planned, we should be on the mark come the 1st round of the championship.” Millsport Racing Ducati would like to thank all their sponsors and partners for their support throughout the year. . |
