CN RACING HOPE TO ROUND OFF SEASON IN STYLE - Malcolm - 11-10-2012 Following on from a disappointing round at Silverstone, CN Racing heads to Brands Hatch this weekend for the final round of the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship with all three riders determined to end the season in style. Last time out, neither Joe Dickinson nor Cody Nally completed a lap of the race leaving Michael Howarth to salvage some pride with a battling 27th place for the Hebden Bridge team. Irishman Nally, from Athlone, County Westmeath, hasn't scored in the last two rounds so will be hoping to recapture the top 12 placing he posted at Cadwell Park and also better his best result of 11th which was on the full 2.43-mile GP track at Brands Hatch in July aboard the ten Kate-prepared Honda Fireblade. Dickinson, from Chesterfield, made a welcome return to action at Donington Park where he was rewarded with a fine ride into 15th place but he crashed out in a first lap incident involving a number of other riders on the opening lap at Silverstone. Yorkshireman Michael Howarth has shown good form since joining the team in the second half of the season and the former Rugby League professional from Todmorden will be hoping he can squeeze into the points at the final race of the season. Dwayne McCracken, Crew Chief: "We feel as if luck has deserted us this season and that has been highlighted over the past couple of rounds. But we have regrouped and are moving forward so we are surely due a good result at some point soon. We have done some more development work with the bike and are ready to go so hopefully we can come away with a set of good results. We just need to get this season over now so we can concentrate on our exciting plans for 2013 that we are currently working on." . |
