The Isle of Man held its Sports Personality awards last night, and if you go to <A HREF="http://www.iomonline.co.im">www.iomonline.co.im</A> you can read about Richard Quayle's latest ornament for the family mantelpiece!
Well deserved for sporting achievement and for being such a pleasant, approachable and generally nice guy.A credit to motorcycle racing.
Hope all the bumps and bruises are fully better, Richard, and look forward to seeing you have an equally successful 2003 TT...perhaps with less orienteering across bogs!

There's a superb photo of Milky at last night's Awards Ceremony, complete with Manx Flag suit(!), on <A HREF="http://www.manxathletics.com">www.manxathletics.com</A>. I spoke to the webmaster of that site tonight, who told me that after he took the photo, he commented to Milky that he wondered how he could justify putting a photo of a motorcycle racer on the front page of an athletics site. To which Milky replied, in his best Manx accent "Oh, I did a bit of runnin' at school, like !" The man's an absolute star !
