Jenny Tinmouth and her Two Wheel Racing British Superbike Team equaled their highest finishing position of the year so far with an 18th place in race one, but were disappointed not to finish race two with engine trouble. Despite this the team hailed the weekend as a great success with Jenny posting personal best lap times right from Fridays free practice one.

The long break between round three and round four of the British Superbike Championship had enabled the team to do some vital testing to improve their Honda CBR1000RR Superbike, this showed with Jenny setting a personal best lap time of the 1.2mile Knockhill Circuit straight from the off. The good form continued into free practice 2 and the damp conditions for free practice 3 on Saturday morning gave the team chance to test a new wet setting.

Qualifying was dry and the team chose to continue to experiment with setup in order to continue to develop their bike, Jenny went well despite learning her way around the new settings and matched her personal best lap time, qualifying her CBR1000RR in 24th position.

Jenny got away well in race one and brought the bike home in 18th place equaling her highest finish of the year so far but in Race two an engine problem put Jenny out after only 9 laps.

Rider Jenny Tinmouth said:

"Whilst I am disappointed not to finish Race 2 I am extremely happy with the weekend as a whole, we have made some dramatic changes to set up and I have to thank K-Tech for their input with the suspension. The bike feels fantastic and I can't wait to get to Snetterton. I would just like to thank Manx Glass & Glazing and all my sponsors for their support this weekend it is very much appreciated because without their help we wouldn't be able to go racing"

Crew Chief Steve Bradley said

"A good weekend for the team, it was a shame about the engine problems in Race 2 but the progress made in so many different areas has negated that. We have come on in leaps and bounds in terms of set up and Jen's feeling on the bike. The time gaps to the riders infront has come down rapidly in one short weekend and we can honestly say that we are really looking forward to Snetterton to continue on this upwards curve."

The next round of the British Superbike Championship is at Snetterton on 5th - 7th July and will be screened live on British Eurosport.
