Just heard that 5-times Manx Grand Prix winner (and a Clubman victory as well) Denis Parkinson recently had a fall and busted a hip - I know that all TT and MGP fans wish him a speedy recovery.

There is a good shot of a Denis Parkinson in this years TT Program on page 15. Is this the same person?

Yes, it is the same Denis. In addition to road racing, Denis was a demon on the sand races, in the latter years he rode Francis Beart Manx Norton's. He wrote an informative and interesting foreword to Lynn Hughes book Pendine Races about his sand career.
