UPGRADED AND UPDATED TT APP TO KEEP FANS INFORMED WITH LATEST NEWS ON AND OFF TRACK - Malcolm - 25-05-2014 The upgraded and updated Isle of Man TT 2014 App is now available to download from i-tunes and google play.
You can once again follow all the action from the Isle of Man TT Races via your mobile devices - as it happens - with the new free to download TT App. This year's App features a brand new design and platform improvements that integrate with the latest operating systems including iOS 7 and Android 4.4 KitKat while the enhanced Live Timings service will allow fans to track the action as it happens with sector, lap and overall leader boards for each qualifying and race session. Those on the Island for TT fortnight can find out what's happening around the island with push alerts for on-island activities and events and for anyone worldwide, the all-new live stream keeps you up to the minute with developments on the track. The rider profiles have been updated to reflect the latest form of the leading contenders and this season's results with new stars added to the information as well as reflecting the comebacks of returning stars Keith Amor, Ryan Farquhar and Ian Hutchinson in the solo's and ex- champion Ian Bell in the sidecars. Anyone not familiar with every twist, turn and bump of the 37 3/4 mile TT Mountain Course will enjoy the interactive course map feature with detailed descriptions of all the key sectors around the track via an 'on board' video voiced by TT rider liaison officer, and former race winner, Richard 'Milky' Quayle. As well as race and festival information the App also opens up the latest campsite information for anyone looking for a last minute pitch with prices, directions, contact details and facilities all at the swipe of your screen. The rolling news feed will keep you informed of all the developments on the track as well as track conditions, weather and all the latest news from the world's leading road race as well as sensational videos from the TT's YouTube page while you can debate all the latest stories via the official Twitter and Facebook page and or get up to the minute developments with the RSS feeds. There is a live audio link to Manx Radio's TT broadcast with live qualifying and race commentary as well as the full fortnight of station broadcasts including Chris Kinley's breakfast chat show featuring all the leading stars, competitions and interviews with past and present racers. Users will be able to purchase licensed goods including the latest Isle of Man TT Races merchandise, while the last minute ticket availability feature will get you into those spectacular course grandstands or rubbing shoulders with the stars in the VIP hospitality. Fans can buy an annual pass to access the comprehensive live timing service for £1.49 (or equivalent euro or dollar price) that allows you to track the field as they negotiate the mountain course. You can follow the race leaders as they reach each of the six sector points or select your favourite riders to follow. The annual subscription includes all qualifying and races from this year's TT Races as well as the Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix that run later in the year. For £1.49 race fans can also purchase an annual subscription to the 'Video Pass' section, which will contain exclusive content including behind the scenes interviews and press conferences as well as archive and current TT race footage. . |
