Gorse Lea Marshals on Tour - Anonymous - 03-07-2003 A group of us are off to visit the Goodwood Festival of Speed next week, for the first time. Is any other TT Website Boardy going? Has anyone else been and, if so, how was it? Only positive comments, otherwise I'm not listening! Re: Gorse Lea Marshals on Tour - Anonymous - 04-07-2003 WHAT? At Southern 100 time... Re: Gorse Lea Marshals on Tour - Anonymous - 04-07-2003 Only slightly, Helen. We leave on Thursday evening. 'See you at the S100. Re: Gorse Lea Marshals on Tour - Anonymous - 04-07-2003 How could you compere Goodwood with the JEWEL IN THE CROWN? to me personally the Southern is better than the TT and i cant wait till Monday. Re: Gorse Lea Marshals on Tour - Anonymous - 04-07-2003 I could not agree more. I make no comparison, and always recommend to those that only come for the TT that the S100 is the best spectator sport on the Island (and far beyond). I WILL be at the Southern, and have not missed it in 12 years. Re: Gorse Lea Marshals on Tour - Anonymous - 05-07-2003 Unfortunately Helen has had to cancel her trip to the Southern with great sadness as its her favourite racing event on the calendar as her father has been taken seriously ill. We'll miss her next week and pray for her, not a good year for Helen after losing her beloved Mum earlier in the year. We hope she'll make a trip over to the Manx GP. We'll text her as the S100 starts to keep her in touch, any messages to her, I'll pass on to her. Re: Gorse Lea Marshals on Tour - Anonymous - 06-07-2003 Thank you Gail, and thanks to all who have txt or phoned, esp Pykey, and Eliz who phoned from US. Dad is sleeping peacefully and I don't expect him to wake. He would be 89 on Thursday. Good luck and safe riding to you all |
