Manx Radio TT - the old man - 22-11-2014 does anyone know what the listening figures where for this years TT RE: Manx Radio TT - Superbike - 22-11-2014 Don't know about the stats dam shame they pulled the plug on the tt365 section I thought it was ace.😒 RE: Manx Radio TT - Steady the Edward - 22-11-2014 I just wish that Radio TT would live up to its name and stay on air when roads are closed and bikes are still circulating, they should not go back to the studio untill the roads open car gets back to the Grandstand, there are times when people are sat up on the Mountain waiting to get home with no idea what's going on because their information channel that they are told to take with them so they know what's happening has bug---do off and is now playing music , and they don't care how numbers 30onwards are doing McPint is in his motorhome tv has shut down up yours RE: Manx Radio TT - Superbike - 22-11-2014 Very valid point there steady the Edward does seem to do a runner off air and play music a bit sharpish after top guys are home even after the senior. RE: Manx Radio TT - cpt_pants - 22-11-2014 It has slowly been going downhill over the last few years in my opinion. Could do with a bit of an overhaul. Not at all keen on Tim Glover. RE: Manx Radio TT - the old man - 23-11-2014 i wish they would wait until the last rider has finished until they do the podium ceremony RE: Manx Radio TT - canamant - 23-11-2014 Yes they should. With the start numbers I had - mid 50s - I never got to see the presentations and applaud the winners and finishers. If I recall, when the late Ronnie Smith won the 750cc class in 2002 he refused to take the podium until every rider was home. That's the sort of respect the organisers should show all the riders. RE: Manx Radio TT - spannerman - 23-11-2014 The contract had run out this year and Treasury insisted it went out to open tender, but as eddy said insurance will be the stumbling block, without it the TT aint going to happen, so its another case of the ACU events running it again. RE: Manx Radio TT - Steady the Edward - 23-11-2014 I think the contract to run the TT is totally separate to the Manx Radio TT issue Spanners, I think the Radio is under the ded remit rather than the ACU Events LTD envelope, but I stand to be corrected as I am not sure RE: Manx Radio TT - prefab - 23-11-2014 I used to consider recording the chat shows and commentaries for reliving them later, but I wouldn't bother now! RE: Manx Radio TT - wsn03 - 24-11-2014 They've never waited for riders to finish before starting the podium, since as far back as I can remember - guess there's such a long wait between the leaders and the tail enders starting at the back of the field that it would leave everyone waiting around for a lot longer than most care to. If they did it like normal races the 'lapped' riders wouldn't get to finish the race, they'd be a whole lap short, so it's not all bad. RE: Manx Radio TT - cpt_pants - 24-11-2014 Who would be your dream line up of commentators for the TT? RE: Manx Radio TT - prefab - 25-11-2014 Graham Norton, Brian Blessed, John Otway and Billy Connolly RE: Manx Radio TT - sinisterdexter - 25-11-2014 (25-11-2014, 09:56 PM)prefab Wrote: Graham Norton, Brian Blessed, John Otway and Billy Connolly You can't just leave it at that!
