Any bike any rider at the TT?. - Superbike - 06-12-2014 If you folks could see any rider and any motorcycle from any era do one more race at the TT who would it be and on what bike? I think mine would be Mike Hailwood and the stunning Britten. Having seen and heard him round the Isle of Man back in the sixties, nothing since has come close to comparing with it. You could hear that thing coming from miles away. " i just new what had happened it was awfull to read what he done in a very short time was unbelievable track records all over the place in his first year of racing RE: Any bike any rider at the TT?. - dave1400 - 06-12-2014 Me and missus were staying at Cronk Asshen that year and watched his progress all week through the practices, every once in a while somebody comes thru and you think they stand out from the rest , the lad was good and was not surprised he won his newcomers race. We were in the grandstand that day and missus took some cracking pics of lad getting his award on the podium, how gutting it was to hear that awful announcement. I was lucky enough to see him race but he was taken so soon after starting his TT career that I never had a chance at the time to appreciate how special a rider I was watching.
