IMC patch - lancepar - 28-02-2015 Greetings, Admin’ please move this if you think it could do better in another thread. I have a request for IMC trained Marshals. I have just renewed my IMC and have a new green patch. However I already have a green one a gold one and a black one. My request for a swap to IOMTTMA admin’ was turned down as “They are issued in sequence”, I’ll say no more on that and have asked them what other colour patches have been used (no reply as yet). So assuming other colours have been used, does anyone want to swap my new green patch for a colour I don’t already have? I’m in Quarry Bank in the West Midlands if a hand over is wanted nearby or it can be done by post. Reply on here or send me a PM...............Thanks Cheers Lance PS is there a dedicated IOMTTMA forum, I can’t find one? RE: IMC patch - lancepar - 28-02-2015 I understand they only use four colours, so I am after a blue one please. RE: IMC patch - Steady the Edward - 28-02-2015 I am not sure but thought that as you have to renew your IMC every three years that the colour was to help identify that you were up to date with your training requirements, but am not 100% on that, just what I understood it to be, can't remember what colours mine are without getting them out of hiding, . RE: IMC patch - lancepar - 01-03-2015 Hi Eddy, You are correct, but they only use four colours, so why have I had two green ones and never had a blue one, I've retrained every three years?. It don't compute. They keep a record of when re-training is required and inform you anyway. Marshals don't have to be IMC trained to marshal. Have a search and send me a blue patch please. I did have an experience when I was moved one year, it went something like this.....I arrived at a post manned by two ladies and a young man. After greetings he said "as you were here last you are on tea making duties" I didn't mind but then one of the ladies, pointing to the IMC patch on my tabard said to the fella, "He's IMC trained, he out ranks you, you're still the tea wallah" It was all taken in good humour and as I was asked to move yet again It didn't matter. BTW at my regular post the owner serves us regularly with tea and biscuits..........Bostin. RE: IMC patch - Steady the Edward - 01-03-2015 I will have a look but I think mine are the same as yours except my gold one looks to me more like yellow , cheap job they must have run out of money by the time I got mine lol will check one day next week for you . RE: IMC patch - lancepar - 01-03-2015 Maybe my gold one was yellow once but the IOM sun has tanned it. RE: IMC patch - Steady the Edward - 02-03-2015 You sure it got tanned in the IOM ?? or were you wearing it on your hols in Costa Plenty , Oh the IOM is the Isle of Costa Plenty !! silly me , ha ha ha . RE: IMC patch - lancepar - 02-03-2015 No not Costa del Plenty, but borrowed by this Signora seen next to my mate.
