Honda Racing's Dan Linfoot will be forced to miss the remainder of the Brands Hatch second round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship after breaking his wrist in a crash during the opening free practice session.

The update from Honda Racing:

"Following a crash in free practice one this morning at Brands Hatch, Dan has broken his wrist and will undergo surgery in two to four days time at Kings College Hospital in London.

"Dan will miss the remainder of the second round of the championship, as well as Oulton Park in a few weeks time. Following his surgery Dan will rest and undergo a course of treatments to speed up the recovery process to get him ready for the fourth round at Snetterton."
