Stuart Easton will start from the front row for tomorrow's opening MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship for the first time since 2010, after snatching third place on his final run in Datatag Qualifying.

Easton has been on the second row this season and today the PBM Kawasaki rider surged forward to steal the final front row position, with the top nine in Q3 covered by 0.803s.

Easton said:

"It was a good session for us and I am pleased to be back on the front row.  The weather was kind to us, there was a few spots of rain, but it was more mental rain than anything else. We got the job done and got a front row, which is what we needed to do today and now I feel ready for tomorrow. I think there are going to be perhaps five riders up there and battling in the races so we just need to see what we can do in tomorrow."
