Message and Tribute Boards - Anonymous - 29-08-2003 I have had to remove my "Guestbook" and "Tribute" boards from my websites and notice that this website is also a victim on the Joey Dulop Tribute board.. Mine attracted Viagra ads and the like and I see yours "sells" watches... Is this wholesome ??? Can we run tribute boards without attracting these tasteless contributions... The postings overtake me be able to remove them !!! My Joey Dunlop board was totally messed up.... Re: Message and Tribute Boards - Anonymous - 29-08-2003 I have also had to junk a lot of garbage from ttmuseum.com. This is because we all used a standard guestbook code, which the crawlers (appropriate word!) hook into. My web man says we can get round this by tweaking the http code. When he has finished crewing for Dave Clarke in the Lightweight MGP today, I will find out the details and pass them on. Re: Message and Tribute Boards - Anonymous - 29-08-2003 Ah so thats where all the Viagra junk adverts are coming from. Would not mind so much if I had a use for it. Re: Message and Tribute Boards - Anonymous - 29-08-2003 Not wot I heard Tom !! (hahaha) Seriously, though, it is disgusting when these "crawlers" invade the Memorial sites....Creepy innit.. In the meantime, I look forward to following todays Manx Reports---I have really enjoyed the Manx, even though I am not there..Well done, it has gone very much higher in my already high estimates..Perhaps TT and Manx should cooperate/collaborate in future..Things to learn from both ends perhaps ?? |
