JM's 133mph lap - fred clarke - 14-06-2015 Great to see there's life in the old dog yet!! Whilst the record books will show that JM set a new outright lap record in the Senior race at 17m..03.567sec at 132.701mph, which was set on lap 2 and included slowing to enter Pit Lane for refuelling. What the record books will not show is that Lap 1 through Lap 2, Cronk ny Mona to Cronk ny Mona, based on sector timings, JM set a time of 17m..00.046sec which equates to a lap of 133.159mph!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RE: JM's 133mph lap - Westers - 16-06-2015 Nice bit of pub ammo there, Fred. RE: JM's 133mph lap - HammerHead - 16-06-2015 I don't know how long John's pit stop was but his lap three time was 17:54.365 which might be close to a sub-17 minute lap of racing. Or it might not depends if the stop was nearer 45 seconds or a minute. RE: JM's 133mph lap - Nik74 - 16-06-2015 anyone has the sectors of John's lap record ? I read that McPint should have beaten only the sector from bungalow to cronk RE: JM's 133mph lap - luca - 16-06-2015 GlenHelen 4 13.395 Ball Bridge 3 05.239 Ramsey H 3 14.123 Bungalow 3 15.359 Cronk Mona 2 14.649 Grandstand 1 00.802 2 14.649 is better than previous 2 15.04 by Steve Plater, but in the same lap Guy Martin did 2 14.333 RE: JM's 133mph lap - commandoz - 16-06-2015 2 14.649 is better than previous 2 15.04 by Steve Plater, but in the same lap Guy Martin did 2 14.333 [/quote] Think Guy was up on time all the way to cronk ny mona over John by a few tenths on that lap but lost 2 seconds coming into the pits! Luca do you have the lap times to cronk ny mona to confirm this? But at the end JMG's lap was 2.340 better than Martin's, so Guy was 0.610 in late at Cronk. |
