The Real TT Heroes - Part 3 - Anonymous - 17-11-2003 Another brilliant programme from Men & Motors, which I think will be repeated on Wednesday at 8pm for those who missed it. Once again it was lovely to see some more of Peter Jarmann and his team, but at the same time very sad as well. It's marvellous that those who weren't lucky enough to know him will now have a good idea of what a wonderful person he was. It won't be the same without him next year, that's for sure. Re: The Real TT Heroes - Part 3 - Anonymous - 18-11-2003 Yes, it is turning out to be a very good "TT Appraisal" and is being done tastefully ! I really hope it comes out as a Vid or DVD...It is certainly one to add to the collection...Well Done. Re: The Real TT Heroes - Part 3 - Anonymous - 20-11-2003 I agree. This series is turning into that definitive look at the Great Event that we have all sought for years. I can remember how I felt when I first read Ronnie Mutchs "Last Of The Great Road Races" "Thats it!" (My equivalent of eureka!) I felt that THAT book captured things so well. The atmosphere generated by the program and the insight into the characters that make the event are spot on. Mind you, the references to DJ (and I guess Peter Jarmann) are pretty heart rending. That closing pice in the last one was very graphic. Mike |
