Public Transport for Southern 100 - bsa499 - 15-04-2016 Four of us are going over for the Southern 100 this year for the first time. We've arranged digs in Colby and I wonder whether anyone has any experience of using public transport in the South of the Island at that time? We're flying over and I was planning to hire a car but it's very expensive over there so I'm looking for alternative transport methods. RE: Public Transport for Southern 100 - veefour - 16-04-2016 Do you mind me asking whereabouts in Colby you are staying. I stayed at a homestay up the Colby Glen Road a couple of years ago a Mrs. Spelman's ( if by any chance you are staying there you are in for a real treat ! ). The only problem I found it's about a mile from the main road uphill a lot of the way, I had my bike but walked down to the Colby Glen Pub for a meal in the evenings & found it a bit of a trek going back up if you are getting on a bit like me ! |
