Dean Martin RIP - Queenbee - 28-05-2016 Sad news for the start of the Pre-TT racing. Condolences to Dean Martin's family and wishes for speedy recovery to Jamie O'Brien and the marshalls involved in the incident. Without Marshalls - no racing - so hopefully they will stil have enough volunteers to cover the race days. Disgusted that the TT website is not even mentioning this incident on its news page - this does not seem to be being updated at all! The least they could do is to offer support to those involved! I hope you are not referring to this website, as the official Press Rease notification was published in the Southern 100 Section at 09:19 on Saturday morning, immediately after receipt of the official email, and not before any speculative and unofficial "news" that was being spread in various internet media. Malcolm RE: Dean Martin RIP - spannerman - 28-05-2016 One year when was taking the engine out of the Padgetts YZR 500 Dean gave a hand to lift it out and pulled his back doing so, thanks Dean and for the pleasure of knowing you, may you now RIP Dean RE: Dean Martin RIP - scaramanga - 28-05-2016 nice memorys spannerman RE: Dean Martin RIP - Superbike - 29-05-2016 RIP Dean and a speedy recovery to all involved. Great story spannerman. RE: Dean Martin RIP - L1v32R1d3 - 29-05-2016 RIP Dean. Wishing everyone involved a speedy recovery. It's sad to hear about the loss of a rider, but they are all aware of the risks. Unfortunately, when bystanders or marshals are involved, the situation becomes even worse. Let's all hope for a safe TT fortnight ahead! |
