Weather Projection

Extensive hill fog and rain and drizzle will continue to affect the island Thursday morning, gradually clearing to scattered showers during the afternoon. The light south to southwest wind will become fresh to strong once more and highs of 18°C in sheltered spots inland.

After consultation with the met office, Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson has confirmed a three hour delay to today's schedule due to the current weather conditions;

Roads will now close no earlier than:

13.45 – Road Closed Barrule Park, Ramsey to Bungalow

14.00 – Road Closed Bungalow to Creg Ny Baa

14.30 – Roads Closed rest of the TT course

A decision and update on the schedule will be made at 12 noon.

Respite from the heavy rain developing, with drier and brighter weather soon moving in from the southwest and some breaks in the hill fog. From late afternoon into the evening, though, there is a risk that showers, possibly on the heavy side, will start to clip the island. The wind will be mainly moderate to fresh from the south or southwest with temperatures up to 18 Celsius at best.
