Davy was released from hospital yesterday,but we hear he is not so well.Our best wishes to a really nice guy.

My dad was talking to Davy Wood today at the race and he was in a wheelchair he confirmed that it is cancer and its everywhere but he is recieving treatment!

He deffentily seems to be sure he'll b at the North West and wants to make sure he can see the TT this year, anyone who knows him will know just how determined he will be to make sure he can do it!

It will be good to see him there. I will never forget how kind Davy was to a young rider on his first (and last) visit to the NW200 12 years ago. Of course, later I found that's just how he always is.

i have just read on real road racing that Davy has passed away i had hoped he would have got to see the tt but it was not to be, God must need a manger for all the racing stars in heaven. My thoughts are with his family. Thanks for all your help Davy RIP

Very sad to here the news, I loved his wonderful way with words to discribe his passion for bikes and road racing. I never new him personally but will miss him still.

Truly saddened to hear of Davey's demise. A thoroughly good advert and supporter of motorcycle road racing. Always friendly to everyone enabling mere mortals like me to enter the otherwise impregnable barriers to the star riders. TT will not be the same.
Anyone know when/where his funeral is?
