Fire drama at TT Paddock - Malcolm - 27-05-2018

There was drama at the TT Padock this morning when a fire broke out in a van.
The van was well alight when firefighters arrived at the scene, as these photos by Ryan Farquhar show.
The contents of the van - an electric racing bike and associated battery equipment were badly damaged - and there was some damage to an adjoining tent.
No one was injured.
Two fire engines attended the scene at just after 9am today (Sunday).
Station Officer David Cowley said: ’While we appreciate that people may wish to assist by using fire extinguishers we must stress that fires can develop very quickly. Don’t put yourself at unnecessary risk.
’Our advice as always to ensure your safety is to get out, stay out and call the Fire and Rescue Service.’

One big fear I had whilst camping in the paddock was fire
