Intermittent radio and a timing system that freezes and only spits out information long after the radio has announced positions etc... and then it goes into reverse with the Timing system showing positions at the Grandstand (when it works) and the radio commenting on earlier positions at Ramsey !!!!! . RE: Monday 3rd June - warrior - 02-06-2019 Thats incredibly tight scheduling!! a 1045hrs start gives effectively just 2 hours to get everyone home from a 6 lap race and then get the chairs assembled on the line 15 minutes before their 1300hrs start!! RE: Monday 3rd June - H2pots - 02-06-2019 Superbike race is 4 laps RE: Monday 3rd June - warrior - 02-06-2019 That makes more sense then, I wondered how they would manage time wise if it was still a 6 Lapper!! RE: Monday 3rd June - Chris_Sav - 03-06-2019 0830hrs and Mountain Road is closed from the look of the police car at the bungalow on the webcams, hope it's nothing serious. [edit] More than one RTC according to Manx Radio RE: Monday 3rd June - Chrisp955 - 03-06-2019 Crosby jump today for me. Then bottom of Bray hill for the 600s RE: Monday 3rd June - warrior - 03-06-2019 (03-06-2019, 08:36 AM)Chris_Sav Wrote: 0830hrs and Mountain Road is closed from the look of the police car at the bungalow on the webcams, hope it's nothing serious. That doesn't surprise me Chris, I live on the course and the 'organ donors' start at first light blasting around and around the course, I've been awake since 5.30am thanks to bikes and sirens. RE: Monday 3rd June - excollier - 03-06-2019 Manx Radio online keeps dropping out...... RE: Monday 3rd June - excollier - 03-06-2019 Radio is way behind the timing screen - a full sector behind RE: Monday 3rd June - milestone 11 - 03-06-2019 Utterly, utterly dreadful. So far out of sync that it was impossible to follow. Live timing constantly needed refreshing, as did the radio. I had to log out on two occasions and re-install to get anything. The sheer, unadulterated hubris of the IoM government, believing that they could run the system that Duke has been perfecting for ten years without testing, leaves me aghast. It should have been tested sufficiently well before the TT ever happened. Total incompetence. RE: Monday 3rd June - Chris_Sav - 03-06-2019 Could not listen on Manx Radio Player due to drop outs but switched to https://tunein.com/radio/Manx-Radio-AM-1368-s37235/ Seems much better here RE: Monday 3rd June - excollier - 03-06-2019 Will try it for the Supersports later, thanks RE: Monday 3rd June - milestone 11 - 03-06-2019 (03-06-2019, 12:14 PM)Chris_Sav Wrote: Could not listen on Manx Radio Player due to drop outs but switched toThanks Chris, it's better quality too. RE: Monday 3rd June - b5070 - 03-06-2019 Same rubbish found -- gahhh!! Came 4000 miles, and faced with this stupid nonsense. I still cannot get into Live Timing - though I signed up for it a while since. What a botch up! RE: Monday 3rd June - Moderator2 - 03-06-2019 Try 87.9 FM if you are around the Douglas area. RE: Monday 3rd June - milestone 11 - 03-06-2019 I'm frankly disillusioned by this so called modern upgrade. The developers of the app seem obsessed with changing thigs by introducing pretty colours and optimizing for mobile phones. We have had two races to enable assessment of this system, it's poor, and maybe that's being overly generous. They desperately need to introduce a current difference,-as they have in the leader board section,- to the laps and sectors. They also need to make the provision to compare previous sector times by a given rider or team. The chance of that? I would also like to see some bike information, there's nothing other than part of the team name. Lastly, the laps and sectors section needs to shuffle so that it reflects the leader board as it stands, it's quite ridiculous to have to search for who is where. Dire. I don't know if the radio was any better in the sidecar event, I listened via Manx Radio on the Tunein app. There are no pressers this year, why? Yes the presser is still available in audio, but in previous years the live youtube video has been available. Progress? I don't think so, it's very much a retrograde step. I have tweeted the ttracesofficial twitter feed, they were deleted. I have also sent emails to which, currently, there is no reply. It's impossible to follow with anything like the previous enthusiasm, the on line experience is a shadow of its former self. very frustrating. RE: Monday 3rd June - milestone 11 - 03-06-2019 Statement issued at 15:55, Monday 3rd June ACU Events Ltd regrets to confirm that Daley Mathison, 27, from Stockton on Tees, Durham was killed in an incident during the Superbike Race today at the Isle of Man TT Races.
