Beer nearly £1 per bottle!

That actually sounds quite expensive for 1976. I remember a pint being around £1 in the mid/late 80s.

Talking about inflation here is an article outlining fare increases for the steam packet in 1976.

I first went in 1962 I think it was about 15 bob return or something like that I wish it was that now!!!! HA Ha

We went for a weekend in November1980, (the weekend after our wedding!) it was £14 for the boat & £14 for the hotel, the Athol on Loch prom, knocked down in about '95, I think.
Good excuse to go back to The Rock later this year! after the TT..... & the S100........& the Classic/Manx!!
