TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 15-07-2004 Now available - Bill Snelling of Amulree Publications has produced it for the Manx MCC. Mine arrived today - excellent! Previous standards have been re-established. Well done Bill! Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 16-07-2004 Second that Larry, thanks Bill. Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 17-07-2004 Yes Larry, Mr. Snelling has done an EXCELLENT job and we all are mugh grateful to him for this. We are all agree with the excellence of the job so I will pass to the criticism:-). There are two mistakes in the list of retirements. The first kind is remediable using the same dates published by Bill. The second kind unfortunately is not. -Light. 400cc race: the no.63 rider retired during the 4th (last) lap and not during the 1st lap as erroneously reported in the list of retired riders. - Junior race: no. 69 retired during the 2nd lap and not during the 1st lap... -Senior race: no. 61 retired during the 4th lap and not during the 1st lap... About the not remediable (not remediable using the Snelling's book I mean) error, it concerns the Prod. 600cc race. First of all: - The number of finishers is 71 (as reported for the 4th (last) lap) and not 69 (as erroneously reported in the list of finishers). - no. 64 is a finisher rider and not a retired one (as erroneously reported in the list of retired riders). The not remediable error is the following: 4 retired riders according to the list of retired riders / 6 retired riders according to the number of RETIREMENTS reported in the race stats. *If* this last number is the right one, then the retirements must be happened during the 1st lap. Does some of you has an idea about how to verify that number? Geoff Cannell? The press office? Greetings to all, Marco Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 19-07-2004 Marco, Production 600 Race: 75 riders completed the first lap 71 riders completed the second lap 71 riders complete the third lap There were 77 starters, therefore retirements were two on lap one and four on lap two. I hope this answersyour question. Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 20-07-2004 Hi Mike, thanks for the info. But...are you sure? Which is your source? Could you write here the names of the retired riders for that race? They are: no. 17 Roy Richardson no. 51 Ettienne Godart no. 25 John Donnan no. 49 Fabrice Miguet All these retired during the 2nd lap. Who are the remaining two retired riders (1st lap)? Many thanks, Marco Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 20-07-2004 Hi Marco, You are correct there were only 4 retirements. I took the number of starters from the official results sheet where it states that there were 11 non starters, 71 finishers and 6 retirements, thus giving 77 starters. On checking my Race Guide there were only 75 starters, 11 non starters and only 4 retirements. Apologies for misleading you. Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 21-07-2004 Can anyone tell me where I can get the TT results book from, I am especially interested in 2003's? Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 22-07-2004 You have only to contact by e-mail Snelling's Amulree Publications. Re: TT Results Book 2004 - Anonymous - 23-07-2004 Thanks very much Marco |
