Brookes stays top in wet second free practice by 0.030s from Iddon - Malcolm - 03-10-2020 Bennetts British Superbike Championship, Donington Park, Free Practice 2
Josh Brookes maintained his position at the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship times at Donington Park this afternoon, setting the pace in the wet conditions for VisionTrack Ducati ahead of tomorrow’s race.
Brookes had been fastest in the dry this morning, but the afternoon session marked the first wet practice of the season and the Australian held the position, as teammate Christian Iddon closed to within 0.030s at the chequered flag. Tommy Bridewell ended the session inside the top three for the Oxford Products Racing Ducati team as he held off the improving Lee Jackson on the Rapid Fulfillment FS-3 Kawasaki who again narrowly finished ahead of his teammate Danny Buchan on the timesheets. Luke Mossey was the strongest of the BMW contenders, holding sixth place for the Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW team ahead of championship leader Glenn Irwin for Honda Racing. Jason O'Halloran, Kyle Ryde and Héctor Barberá completed the top ten, with Andrew Irwin just nudged outside into eleventh place after a crash earlier in the session.
