Hoghton Tower sprint/hill climb - captainsparkledotcom - 24-07-2021 Those 2 years have passed quickly! (but slowly, if you know what I mean?!?!) Anyone in the North that fancies an outing on Sunday could nip along to Hoghton Tower (twixt Preston & Blackburn) for the annual Hill Climb. Once again myself & Mr. Led will be competing, maybe we'll see you there? Mr. Led on a "cafe racer" LC & an NC30, I'll be on the old Triton (No 23), the first outing for the old girl! RE: Hoghton Tower sprint/hill climb - captainsparkledotcom - 24-07-2021 Should point out that's tomorrow! 25th July 2021 RE: Hoghton Tower sprint/hill climb - sprocket - 24-07-2021 Hope you have a great time Captain.... keep it lit 👍 RE: Hoghton Tower sprint/hill climb - Dogsbody - 25-07-2021 I see you were a bit exhausted after one run. RE: Hoghton Tower sprint/hill climb - Chrisp955 - 25-07-2021 How did the sprint go?? RE: Hoghton Tower sprint/hill climb - captainsparkledotcom - 26-07-2021 Ha Ha! Exhausted was one word, exasperated another! It felt really good that run too, I knew I'd nailed the start for the first time, then, when i changed gear & "opened 'er up a bit" the flaming exhaust came out of the head!! only lost less than half a second tho'! Final run started really well again, 'til i missed 2nd gear!! thought it was going to blow, but it was OK in the end, must try harder next year. after all it was the first time I've ever taken the old Triton out after a full rebuild, so, to put a positive slant on it..... I came first in my class....and we'll just leave it there!! Nice to see a couple of forum members there as well, thanks for your support.... God knows I needed it! |
