A very happy birthday to Jim Redman on his ninetieth birthday today. Jim is the Honorary President of the Historic Motorcycle Group in Kensington, South Africa. The information passed to me by Trevor Williams a club member and friend of Jim's.

Congratulations Jim. He is probably the 2nd oldest surviving World Champion behind Cecil Sandford.

The only time I had the pleasure of meeting Jim, was when he was the guest of honour presenting prizes at the, I think, 2012 Thundersprint held in the Tesco carpark in Northwich, Cheshire. Shame that's not held any more - ealth and safety I presume!!

Happy birthday Jim he was my hero in the 60s I met him at the classic bike show and he told me a naughty story about when he was racing which I can't repeat on here top man!
