Go to <A HREF="http://www.ferdinando.cecchini.name/foto/535.jpg">http://www.ferdinando.cecchini.name/foto/535.jpg</A>

and try to determine the model of this auctioned Guzzi. It is described as "GUZZI 500". It is not the V8 500cc I think. Is it an horizontal monocyclinder with a streamlined fairing?? Or is it a 250 (or 350cc) machine? But the fact is that in my knowledge the Guzzi racing machine had the final trasmission on the right side while the machine portraied in the shot has it on the left side. Is it a rebuilt machine?

Pity the fairing is not removed, but you are correct Marco all the Guzzi racing machines of the 50s had the final drive on the right including the v8.There was a 500 single dohc and a 500 v twin but my guess this is a road engine in a bitsa frame, but i'm no expert although I have several books on old Guzzis
