Food and beer - Chrisp955 - 13-05-2022

So where will your 1st pint be on the Isle  this year. What's your favourite pub and where are your favourite places to eat.
Some of our old favourites might have gone in the covid years so maybe some of the locals can recommend the best fry up. Or somwhere for a bit of tea?.
I will start. 1st pint will be in the Rosemount. Prober boozer with a few bands on over the TT fortnight.  Food we normally have a cheep night then maybe a sit down posh night then cheep night again. So Terraced chippy. Posh night ride out to the Sidings in Castle Town. Never sure for breckfast Hawthorn use to do a good one and yiu could watch the bikes go by. And the caf in Douglas do a good fry up. The railway station use to do a fry up on a stockers shovel

In 2019 we got the 2am-ish sailing from Heysham so popped into The Caff in Douglas straight off of the boat for breakfast which was very good. Milky and Paul Phillips came in for their breakfast while we were in there.

Always felt The Raven at Ballaugh kept a good pint and their food was pretty good too.

We always camp in Peel so the Creek is where we tend to go for a pint in the evening. The Anatolia Pizza and Kebab house on Christian Street gets used quite a bit.

We've had a few good meals at The Italian Job at the Villa Marina but I'm not sure if it's still there - we didn't go in 2019 so I won't have been in there since 2016.

Traditionally we park the bikes up & walk to Quaterbridge, but, that's not open any more our digs are now in Union Mills & the Friday practice is much earlier so there won't be much practice time left when we arrive!  Huh

So it looks like The Railway in Union Mills will be our "watering hole"

Always visit Dave in The Old Market Inn in Douglas specially on Mad Sunday eve.
Barbary Coast, on the Quayside, has always been good too, decent food & drink for a decent price.

The Italian job at the villa arcade closed in 2020.
