Cancelled ferry - Nasher - 21-08-2023
So, I left home at 05:00 on Saturday to catch the ferry from Liverpool
A short while after 06:00 I was notified of a text, pulled into a lay-by to read it and was informed that my ferry had been cancelled (a couple of minutes latter a friend who lives on the Island texted me the same information)
Used my phone to reschedule the ferry, earliest sailing is the 02:00 from Heysham on Thursday
5 days of my trip lost (and 100 mile drive wasted) - gutted
At least I should get to see all the racing
I'm sure there were lots of others affected by storm Betty - sympathies to all
I've been going to the island since 1976 and never had a ferry cancelled before, so I've probably been lucky in the past

I cannot understand why Steam Packet have not slotted an extra sailing when they have two full size ships available!

Well, the Steam Packet must have read your post......
I've check bookings again and managed to re-book for 14:00 tomorrow from Heysham on the Manxman - Yay!!
Just repacking the motorhome (think I'd better re-iron my pulling pants)
