Wow - Revvin rich - 03-07-2024 I know its not TT orientated but Mark Cavendish has just become a tour de France legend i hope all you Manx people are proud of all his achievements. I am RE: Wow - Alfie Noakes - 03-07-2024 Thanks Rich ... yeah - he does the IoM proud...some pace on the boy still, he destroyed that field today. RE: Wow - Sam Pato - 03-07-2024 Yep Chapeau to Mark - I'm afraid I have to count myself as one of the people who thought that ship had sailed. I couldn't be happier to be wrong. Hopefully he can find a bit of peace with it all now. That said I just read an interview with GT who said " you don't need to keep risking your neck - just park the bike and walk away" - Cav not having any of it - wants more wins! Still a racer at heart. RE: Wow - Chris_Sav - 04-07-2024 Well done Sir Mark!! Yes a fantastic achievement that crashes and illness made all the more difficult. Watched it yesterday and he certainly made a fool of those who said he was no longer the fastest in the peloton and that the ship had sailed. RE: Wow - H2pots - 04-07-2024 Great to see, he were quite humble in the interviews after, which was nice to see.Sent He could retire with his head held high but I suspect he's not done yet. RE: Wow - Chris_Sav - 04-07-2024 It's a great shame the Olympics have prevented the ceremonial final stage in Paris this year, that would have been a fitting tribute to the greatest sprinter of all time. |
